10 Million Chinese IPTV Subscribers By 2011

While Alcatel believe there will be up to 100 million IPTV subscribers by 2010, Pyramid Research are forecasting a rising number of Chinese IPTV subscribers through 2011.
Pyramid’s Harvey Tomlinson predicts a fairly modest growth in IPTV subscribers until 2008 because of red tape and the lack of standards. But as convergence and IPTV-enabled broadband gains traction in China, Pyramid forecast more than 10 million IPTV subscribers by 2011.
It’s a smiliar story for pretty much every industry these days, rapid growth in China. That’s where the money is.
