Black Coffee In Bed… And Mobile TV
- December 25th, 2006 | Mobile TV
Apparently in Stockholm, according to a Telia survey, people prefer their mobile TV in bed, or on their way to or from work or school. Peak times are in the morning and evening, and viewers watch about 30 minutes at a time. On a small screen? Really? I find it hard to believe they don’t get eyestrain at any age. You may not feel it or even realize it, but if you have a tightness between the eyes, in the forehead, that might be the seed of a migraine.
I’m still highly doubtful of the success of mobile TV, though the TeliaSonera Sweden survey suggests there is an interest/ demand for it. I would, however, be interested in mobile TV if I got my hands on the TV mini-projector for eyeglasses devised by Lumus Ltd. Aside from that, though, I take exception with the comment by TeliaSonera representative Indra Asander:
With mobile TV, you no longer need to stress about getting home in time to watch a specific program.
Have you ever heard of time-shifting TV? Or how something even relatively lower-tech called a VCR? If you’re stressing about missing a show, you must then be as much of a video/ tv junkie as I am.
