BT To Offer Premiership Games Through Vision IPTV

BTBT’s Vision internet TV service launched today to much fanfare in the UK.  But it faces a lot of stiff competition from the BBC, ITV, Telewest and Sky.  So in an attempt to augment the content already available on their service Bt have announced that English Premiership soccer matches will be available via the Irish sports channel, Setanta.

While this isn’t massive news taken on it’s own, it does indicate how serious BT are about internet TV.  But they really need to be, the sector is already very crowded in the UK and while the lack of a subscription will attract people they won’t even consider it an option without decent content.
