Digital Cube Netforce HSDPA-capable DMB PMP
- October 20th, 2006 | Mobile TV

Previously we covered another PMP from Digital Cube called the T-DMB PMP, now we’ve got some info on another HSDPA-capable PMP just released called the Digital Cube Netforce.
It has a nice 4.3″touch-sensitive LCD panel with 800 x 480 resolution used to play back video and audio content, handling MPEG1/2/4, WMV9, DivX, XviD, MP3, OGG, AC3, FLAC and WMA. And there’s plenty of room to store all your content, the Netforce also has a 30GB hard drive.
The Netforce runs on Windows CE and has a built-in WiFi module for access to wireless networks. You have access to a personal information manager and a Microsoft Office viewer. The Netforce has a USB port that allows you to plug in a keyboard or mouse to make typing messages faster.
That stuff is all very good, but we just want the mobile TV. And fortunately the Netforce fulfills this need with a built-in DMB receiver, allowing you to tune into one of the TV and digital radio channels.
But in a cruel twist of fate, the Netforce will probably never ever (in a month of Sundays) make it to our shores. Currently South Korea is the only place on earth where DMB has been rolled out, but some cities and states are giving the tech a run. But the USA isn’t one of them.
We can but look in envy.
