Fox, Viacom, CBS and NBC vs. YouTube
- January 5th, 2007 | Video Sharing
The Wall Street Journal is reporting on discussions being held between Fox, Viacom, CBS and NBC on the formation of a new video sharing site to rival the current market leader, YouTube.
CBS and NBC already have deals in place with YouTube where they make content available to the site’s legions of users. As previously reported on TVNinja, CBS are already seeing increased viewing numbers to shows they have promoted on their channel.
Evidently the major networks see their future in the internet, just like the future of Hollywood lies in movie downloads.
