iLuv i1055 Portable DVD Player

When I go traveling I usually bring my laptop and a few DVDs.  If my battery lasts long enough I can usually get through a DVD while on the flight, but obviously I need to set the system to run on battery with reduced performance.  But you know what it’s like in cattle-class, cramped.  And it’s no better when you’re 6ft tall.

So if you are traveling you might consider an ultra portable DVD player like the new iLuv i1055.  Unlike a laptop, which takes up a lot of space while on a flight, the iLuv i1055 has a compact 7 inch TFT LCD screen.  Obviously it has been designed for use on the road as it has multiple ways to charge the battery via 12V cigarette charger, 10V AC adapter and the built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery.

And when you arrive at your destination you can hook it up to a larger screen via S-Video, Video In / Out and Audio In / Out.  Oh yeah, there’s one more thing.  You also get an iPod dock, which is rather handy indeed.  No word on whether it can play back TV shows and movies stored on the iPod though.
