Matrixstream MyTVPal: 1080p Internet TV?
- November 29th, 2006 | IPTV

Matrixstream, a specialist ini manufacturing set-top boxes and VOD / IPTV, have announced a new service called MyTVPal.com that they claim to be the first 1080p internet TV video streaming service available in the USA. The new service will launch with 700 free IPTV channels from over 70 different countries, these will be a mix of standard and high definition.
The company say that they have plans to support user generated content, a la YouTube, some time in 2007 as well as introduce various PVR functions such as time-shifting. It sounds like they have a ton of channels on offer, but there are few details (if any) on how many channels or individual programs there will actually be streaming in 1080p.
My guess, very little. Keep an eye out for MyTVPal for now, but don’t peg your hopes and aspirations on it.
