NBC Universal Makes $750 In Cuts
- October 19th, 2006 | General
Yikes! NBC Universal have announced they will be making $750 in cuts to operating expenses, cutting shows, movie productions and cutting back on their news budget. And the reason for these cuts, the internet and new media. Sorry guys, but people are going to get the news for free if they can.
“As we reprioritize ourselves toward digital, we’ve got to be as efficient in our current businesses as possible,” said Bob Wright, chairman of NBC Universal.
Much of the money will be saved by making people unable to pay their bills redundant. Jeff Zucker, head of their TV programming, said that he’ll be spending less money and concentrating on cheaper programming.
So what does the future hold for The West Wing, ER, The Apprentice, Law & Order etc? Who knows.
