Pioneer 60″ 20,000:1 Contrast Ration Plasma

Pioneer have announced that they will be releasing a range of plasma screens with a rather nice contract ratio of 20,000:1 by 2008. The announcement took place last week at CEATEC in Japan where Pioneer had a 60″ display on show.

If you can make out the picture above you’ll see that there is a definite difference in quality between the 20,000:1 plasma on the left and the 3,000:1 1080p plasma on the right.
