Samsung SPD-50P7HDT Wireless PDP HDTV

Wireless and HDTV; 2 words that should make your mouth water.  Especially when you hear them in the same sentence, as in wireless HDTV!

Well it’s here, at long last.  Samsung just presented the SPD-50P7HDT at the KES in South Korea.  It is a pretty nice looking PDP panel with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 1,300cd/m.

But who cares!  All I’m interested in is the fact that I could wall-mount the SPD-50P7HDT and stream HDTV signals wirelessly to the screen from the set-top box.  No need to run an HDMI cable to the panel.  How cool is that?

Well, it’s pretty cool.  But it gets better because you can also hook up your DVD player, camcorder or console to the set-top box and stream the video and audio to the screen wirelessly.  Now if you are not checking your bank account by now, there is something fundamentally wrong with you!
