Sony BDP-S1 Blu-ray Player: Delayed

Just a quick one to let anyone know who may be waiting on the release of the Sony BDP-S1 Blu-ray player that it has now been delayed again.
Seems like Sony are having their fair share of manufacturing issues, I certainly wouldn’t like to be head of manufacturing for them. The bad news just doesn’t seem to let up. First the PS3 is delayed, then we get blown to bits with exploding Sony laptop batteries and now they can’t get a Blu-ray player produced to schedule.
The SonyStyle store says that delivery should occur “On or about December 4, 2006″. If you have already ordered your BDP-S1, reports from customer service reps indicate that you may receive yours before December. Just don’t hold your breath.
